KW910-M – Synchro Interface

The KW910-M will convert synchro transmission signals to NMEA 0183 data with a sensitivity of 0.1 degree for all gyro ratios from 1:1 to 360:1.

Synchro reference voltages accepted are between 40V and 220V with signal voltage inputs between 40V and 90V.
Lower voltage compatibility is possible but should be requested at time of order.

Synchro signals are often associated with the ships gyro but this signal type is often used in other equipment found on older vessels. The KW910-M caters for a number of input and output requirements including:

Gyro compass

Rudder Demand/ Sensor Angle

Wind speed and direction

Speed Log

Telegraph or Shaft RPM

The KW910-M interface does not require alignment in the 1:1 and 90:1 mode but for all other synchro types an alignment keypad is supplied.

Other outputs are possible, even if not currently included.
